CityCenterDC Celebrates Spring with Live Music, Stunning Installations, and Seasonal Flavors.
Washington, D.C. – CityCenterDC welcomes spring with a vibrant lineup of experiences, transforming the downtown destination into a vibrant celebration of the season and encouraging visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of the season. From live music and special culinary offerings to a breathtaking cherry blossom-themed installation at the Conrad, CityCenterDC is the perfect springtime destination.
The annual Palmer Alley spring installation, featuring delicate pink paper blooms and lanterns, will be on display through Memorial Day. Suspended overhead, it creates a festive atmosphere and a picturesque backdrop for visitors to capture the essence of spring.
Weekends at CityCenterDC will come alive with music as saxophonist, DeJay Sax, and electric violinist, Stephanie Mathias, perform in the Plaza. Starting Saturday, March 22, live music will take place every Saturday from 2–6 PM through April 12, aligning with the national Cherry Blossom Festival. Guests can enjoy a diverse mix of genres, from soulful jazz melodies to contemporary acoustic sets, enhancing the shopping and dining experience.
CityCenterDC’s restaurants are embracing the flavors of spring with special offerings. Fig & Olive will feature a delicious Black Sea Bass à la Plancha accompanied by a Spring Vegetable Fricassee. Seven Reasons has crafted two cherry blossom inspired cocktails: the Whisper Blossom, a gin cocktail with floral, citrus, and botanical notes, and the Falling Petals, a smoky, fruity, and floral Mezcal cocktail. Estuary’s cocktail menu will feature their Kyoto Spring cocktail, made with Japanese Gin and cherry blossom green tea syrup, honoring the connection between Japan and DC. Dolcezza Gelato & Coffee will be scooping up refreshing seasonal flavors, including Avocado Honey Orange sorbet, Black Sesame gelato, and Thai Coconut Milk gelato.
At the Conrad, visitors can experience a stunning cherry blossom-inspired parasol installation. Created by local architect and artist My Ly, this intricate display of Japanese parasols pays tribute to the beauty of cherry blossoms and the lasting friendship between nations, blending cultural tradition with breathtaking artistry.
